Applicants must have a Class A CDL and be a resident of the state of Ohio. Drivers are required to know the safe and proper way to perform their job and comply with the regulations and provisions of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, the U.S. Department of Transportation, and OSHA.
A Driver’s function is to take loads from the Consignor’s door to the Consignor’s door. A single trip can be as short as 10 miles or as long as 3000 miles. En-route, the driver’s job can include securing the load, driving, filling out paperwork (keeping a log on miles, expenses, etc.), fueling, hooking up the electrical and air system, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and completing online assigned safety training.
